GDPR Compliance:

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) (

https://gdpr-info.eu/

) is the most comprehensive change to EU data privacy law in decades. The Leeds Law Firm, PLLC team is working hard to ensure our full compliance with GDPR.

What is GDPR?

GDPR is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. For EU residents, the regulation aims to increase residents’ control over their personal data. For businesses, GDPR becomes a unifying regulation across the EU. GDPR applies to any EU residents’ data, regardless of where the processor or controller is located.

How Leeds Law Firm, PLLC is Complying with GDPR (continued):

Even though GDPR only applies to data from EU residents, we took the decision to apply broadly the requirements of the regulation. This means we don’t restrict any privacy-related features based on the geographical location of a data subject. Here are some of the actions we’ve taken to ensure compliance:

Security:

We’re taking the security of the data we manage very seriously. The Leeds Law Firm, PLLC servers are physically secure and may only be accessed by technical or support personnel whose jobs relate to maintaining the integrity of our systems or supporting platform-related functions. These individuals are required to uphold security and confidentiality.

We use:

Encryption of personal information.Strict access controls and logging.SSL/HTTPS for all network traffic.Firewalled internal infrastructure with strict access rules.Two-factor authentication and RSA key requirements for sensitive system access.Continuous deployment of updated, patched system images.Ongoing internal monitoring and penetration testing by external vendors.

We endeavor to detect and respond quickly to any system interruptions or vulnerabilities. Our systems are monitored, replaced regularly, and designed with redundancy and single-function server principles to prevent single points of failure.

Login pages and sensitive data transfers are encrypted using SSL/TLS and certified by trusted Certificate Authorities. CRM and email credential data are encrypted in transit and at rest. All passwords are hashed using secure, one-way hashing algorithms.

Log Retention:

To improve, debug, or prevent fraud on the Platform, we retain logs. Logs are destroyed within 3 months of collection. These logs are never used for marketing or profiling.

Data Portability:

Users can download any data they’ve provided to the Platform. This ensures flexibility and easy migration to other services.

Systematic Pseudonymization of Non-Public Data:

Where applicable, data is pseudonymized. Any data not required in its original format is anonymized to reduce the risk of re-identification.

Right of Erasure:

If a data subject requests removal, Leeds Law Firm, PLLC offers a simple way to claim or delete any associated data. Data removed from public websites is also removed from our index in due course.

California Residents:

If you are a California resident, you have rights under California law concerning your personal information, including:

The right to confirm whether we are processing your information and to access it.The right to request deletion of your personal information, as permitted by law.The right to opt-out of certain disclosures of your information to third parties.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Requests should be submitted to:

[email protected]

Upon verifying your identity, we will comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. You will be notified if we are unable to fulfill any part of your request and the reasons why.

, you may also request a list of personal information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes and the identities of those third parties (limited to one request per calendar year). This request may also be submitted to:
